KS1 ENGLISH TUITION
Our early years trained tutor provides fun and engaging sessions to support children’s reading and basic comprehension skills.We use a range of techniques/strategies to teach children phonics and improve fluency to develop confident, enthused readers. We explore a range of texts which provide children with opportunities to develop their comprehension skills and also their writing skills for a range of purposes. Sessions are tailored to suit the individual needs of the child and can focus on a specific area of concern i.e handwriting or spelling.
KS2 ENGLISH TUITION
We explore a broader range of texts including; poems, plays, non-fiction and develop their knowledge of these text types and skills to comprehend what they have read. We continue to encourage children to enjoy and read a variety of texts, exposing children to rich and challenging language.Again, sessions are tailored to the child’s individual needs and delivered at their own pace. 1-1 sessions are available for those who may need systematic phonics teaching to help them to make rapid progress in their reading, writing and spelling.
